Dr Areti Pavlidou is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Adult and Liaison Psychiatry. She works in the NHS as the Lead Consultant for inpatient and community mental health services.
Dr Pavlidou trained in Maudsley hospital and completed her higher specialist training in Adult Psychiatry and Liaison Psychiatry in East London Foundation Trust and Saint Bartholomew’s Hospital.
She is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
She is experienced in treating all adult mental health problems such as depression, bipolar affective disorder, personality problems, anxiety and OCD, and psychotic illnesses. She has a special interest in the stress-related conditions and mind and body connection and also conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
Dr Pavlidou takes a holistic and recovery focussed approach in the assessment and treatment of mental health difficulties. Her approach is evidence-based and tailored to individual needs; combining pharmacological therapies with psychological interventions as part of Dementech’s multidisciplinary model.
