Aleksandra Podlewska – Neuropsychologist
Aleksandra is a neuropsychologist (BSc, MSc, MBPsS), currently completing her PhD in Clinical Neuroscience at King’s College London. She completed her BSc and MSc training at the University of Kent, before moving to King’s College London to work with Professor Ray Chaudhuri. She is a member of the British Psychological Society and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society.
She specialises in neuropsychological assessments of mood and cognitive function across neurological disorders, including dementia (such as Alzheimer’s disease, fronto-temporal dementia, vascular dementia), movement disorders (such as Parkinson’s disease and parkinsonisms) and neuropsychiatric disorders (mood disorders).
Her main interest lies in the effects of exercise on neurological conditions and the associated cognitive performance. She is also interested in patient education and the importance of early diagnosis and accurate management. She is involved in research on the non-pharmacotherapies for Parkinson’s disease and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications.
